Dear friends of "Photo moments", let's welcome spring with these wonderful harbingers - the storks!
The village of Panicheri is a picturesque, green, peaceful Hisar village, in the center of which rises this tall and slender clock tower.
How to reach Panicheri village?
Panicheri is a village in Hisarya municipality, Plovdiv region.
They are located on the road Starosel - Staro Zhelezare.
The village is 15 kilometers (about 14 minutes) from the town of Hisarya.
The main road winds right through the village and you will inevitably notice the proud and slender posture of this beauty, counting down the time precisely from 1981.
There is a large parking lot built opposite the clock tower, so just pull up opposite it, leave your car, walk around, listen to the silence, enjoy the pretty village and maybe if you're lucky, you'll hear the clucking of storks' beaks.
Every year, in early spring, a pair of beautiful white storks rush back from wintering abroad and resettle in their lovely home at the top of the tower, from where there is an incredible view of the old Balkans - to the north and the fertile fields of Plovdiv - southwards.
For years the tower has been their familiar native home, where the happy family lays its eggs, where their sweet offspring hatch, where all grow happily together under the hot Thracian sun, where the little ones make their first timid attempts at flying, so that together in the autumn they can set off for distant Africa.
As I already mentioned, the tower was erected in 1981 and financed with personal funds from the 1921 collection.
The clock was restored and restored in May 2021. The sponsor of the restoration is Eng. Tano Neychev, and the restorer is Yanko Malakov.
