Rock formation and natural landmark Nevyastata on the "Nevyastata" eco-trail in the Turluka area in the Rhodope Mountains above Smolyan - extreme adventure, epic views and inspiring memories.

Our joint journey continues with another remarkable rock phenomenon - the natural landmark "The Wonderful Bridges of Erkyupria" from the Western Rhodopes, included in the national register of protected areas and protected zones.

The Wonderful Bridges of Erkyupriya, also known as the Rock Bridges, are a unique, highly impressive and incredibly beautiful rock phenomenon, towering in the karst valley of the Erkyupriya River in the Western Rhodopes at an altitude of 1450 meters above sea level, east of Golyam Persenk Peak and southeast of Malak Persenk Peak.

Here we are increasingly increasing the degrees of adventure, continuing in the direction of the natural landmark "Pashovi Skali" near Yundola, where the splendor of beautiful Rhodope panoramas and deeply impressive views await us.

The natural landmark "Pashovi Skali" is a valuable habitat for both rare plant species and numerous mammals, reptiles and birds. The rock complex and its adjacent forest are inhabited by roe deer, wild boar, hare, fox, and on the rocky terrain and gullies you can find alpine newts and representatives of various species of snakes and lizards. Rare birds such as the rock nuthatch, rock climber, golden eagle, peregrine falcon, hazel grouse, owl, red woodpecker and others nest in the rock niches. The area provides wonderful conditions for observing rare species of butterflies.
From the natural phenomenon "Pashovi Skali" one can see wide panoramic views of Pirin and picturesque landscapes of the slopes and watershed of the Lyuta River, the serpentines and tunnels of the narrow-gauge line in the direction of Avramovo station.
The natural landmark "Pashovi Skali" was declared a natural landmark in 1981 and is a characteristic rock complex located between the Yundola saddle and the village of Pashovi. In these rock habitats, 153 species of higher plants have been identified and described, of which three are included in the Red Book of Bulgaria and four are declared protected.

Our joint journey through the incredibly curious rock phenomena of Bulgaria continues with the natural phenomenon "Stone Mushrooms" (Mantarkaya), also known as "Rock Mushrooms". These are incredible rock formations (harmonious rock pieces) in the shape of natural mushrooms, sculpted in rhyolite volcanic tuffs.

This rock zeolite phenomenon is located near the village of Beli Plast.

The natural landmark Megalith, which can be viewed by taking the "Path Through the Ages" eco-trail above the village of Buzovgrad, is a site from the third millennium BC.

We continue on to another wonderful idea for a perfect walk, this time in the Northern Rhodopes near the Plovdiv villages of Izvor and Hrabrino – these are Momini Skali.

I will be happy to share with you another impressive rock wonder – an interesting and not-so-known rock bridge located among the enchanting Rhodopes near the village of Mostovo, Asenovgrad Municipality.

And now I invite you to take the path together leading to the Black Rock rock formation in Rila above the Borovets resort.

Onward and forward – our fascinating adventure through the mysteries of Bulgarian rock phenomena leads us in the direction of Chernata Skala near the village of Ravnogor in the Rhodope Mountains.

The Red Rock is a group of vertical, protruding rocks, overhanging the centuries-old Rhodope forests, from which a phenomenally beautiful panorama opens up to the boundless Rhodope Ocean, spreading everywhere before us.

Very nearby are Bekovi Rocks, which also reveal an incredibly impressive phenomenal view of the Vacha Dam.

From the vast Rhodope Ocean, we will head to the blue azure of the Black Sea near Sinemorets, where we will enjoy the rock ships, tilted to one side, which have been relentlessly battered by the wind and sea waves for millennia, to take on their wondrous form today, so that we can marvel at them.

Very nearby is a rather curious and deeply bizarre rock, which has gained notoriety in recent years for the fact that, with more or less fantasy, it resembles a sphinx lying by the sea and staring ahead into the vastness of time.

From the Black Sea, I head towards the Rhodope Mountains and more precisely towards the Belishka River, where we discover the next oddity – the natural rock bridge that the river has cut into the rock, also known by the names "Shapran Dupka" and "Erkupriya" (in some sources "Erkupriya").
