Dear friends of "Photo Moments", in this publication I have gathered for all of you in one place several little-known, but very interesting sites that I have personally visited, that have captivated me with their exquisite uniqueness and that bear the special tag of "Photo Moments" - "RECOMMENDED"!
You probably all remember with a warm incredible thrill the wonderful poem by Petko Slaveykov - "The Spring of the White-Legged", one of the most researched and commented works in Bulgarian literature, created in the distant year 1873.

Probably most of you, inspired by this beautiful story, have visited the fountain built south of Harmanli on the road to Svilengrad, called "The Spring of the White-footed One".
But surely many of you do not know about the "Gergana" fountain in the town of Zlatitsa - inspired by the beautiful Slaveykova poem.
You will learn what the history of the "Gergana" fountain is HERE.
In the center of Zlatitsa stands a very old clock tower, which is a symbol of the town and a prominent heraldic sign in the Zlatitsa coat of arms. Few have heard of it and this antiquity is not at all that accessible, which is why I decided to introduce you to it.

The clock tower of Zlatitsa is a cultural monument of national importance - an architectural and construction monument and folk antiquity.
You can learn about the history of the old clock tower HERE.
There is a place in Zlatitsa, known to few and not visited by travelers. This is the monastery in Zlatitsa - a refuge of Vasil Levski.

You can learn the history of the monastery in Zlatitsa HERE.
Near Zlatitsa there is a quiet, beautiful, charming Bulgarian jewel, nestled between the beautiful southern slopes of the Balkans and the foothills of the Sashtinska Sredna Gora. The name of the village is Dushantsi and in the past the border between the Principality of Bulgaria and Eastern Rumelia passed through here. One of the sights of Dushantsi is an old and authentic Roman bridge, which is not one of the famous destinations.

The Kufarita Bridge is an architectural and historical monument from the time of Ottoman slavery, built on the foundations of an authentic bridge from the Roman era.
You will learn about the history of this unknown Roman bridge "Kufarita" HERE.
The time has come to introduce you to the late antique and medieval fortress city of Levke, which is located above the early Christian basilica "St. Spas", better known as the Belovo Basilica.

This place immediately grabbed me with its authenticity!

You can learn about how I discovered this place and what I experienced HERE.
Dear friends, do you know what the oldest living thing in Bulgaria is?
Did you know that the Granite Oak is officially dated at 1,680 years old?

Did you know that it sprouted as a young sapling in 345 AD?
Did you know that on the facade of a building near the oak tree I noticed a painted figure of a kneeling man holding a young oak sapling in his hands before planting it?

Who is this man?
Why and how does it happen that he is the one who plants this thousand-year-old tree, still alive today?
You will learn the stories of the Granite Oak, Saint Athanasius, the Serdica Church Council and the defense of the Truth HERE.
In Sarnena Sredna Gora there is something to visit, something to see and something to tell about.
I present to you the not-so-famous Kutel – a huge giant megalithic granite piece, which is shaped like a bulky and spacious vessel.

It was discovered by the brothers Herman and Karel Škorpil - Czech-Bulgarian teachers, archaeologists and museum workers, geologists, botanists, architects, librarians and creators of Bulgarian archaeological science and museum work.
You can learn about the history of the kutel HERE.
The "Path through the Ages" eco-trail above the village of Buzovgrad in Sarnena Sredna Gora is a not-so-known eco-trail, leading to several very interesting sights.

The "Path Through the Ages" eco-trail is another grand adventure recommended by me for the whole family, including a perfect mood, lots of smiles, hot sun, fluffy white clouds and vast and impressive views of the entire Rose Valley and the Valley of the Thracian Kings, the proud and old Balkan, the Koprinka Dam and the submerged Thracian capital city of Sevtopolis, the Freedom Monument, the village of Buzovgrad and the town of Kazanlak!

The "Kingdom of the Periwinkle" eco-trail in the magical and mystical Strandzha, starting from the vicinity of the village of Kondolovo, is not among the most visited places by tourists and I really want to promote it among you.

Dear friends, this eco-trail will take you on an adventure in Strandzha Nature Park in the kingdom of periwinkle!

Dear friends, do you know where the following inscription is located?
Traveler!
Look at the two rivers Panova and Asarel, merged here under this bridge;
that is how the souls of our ancestors merged in the summer of 1876 - there on the Panova River in
OBORISTHE
IN THE FIRST BULGARIAN GREAT NATIONAL ASSEMBLY
for the liberation of Bulgaria.
Take off your hat, even if from afar, and bow before you pass by.
1928
This inscription is placed on a memorial plaque by the road between the town of Panagyurishte and the village of Oborishte, next to the confluence of the two rivers Panova and Asarel. The plaque was placed here in 1928 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the April Epic.

In 1966, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the April Epic, a fountain, known today as "The Bear's Head", was erected near the memorial plaque.

On the road between the Oborishte Historical Site and the town of Panagyurishte, on the right you will find the "Bear Head" fountain.
