Dear friends of "Photo Moments", I am pleased to present to you Historical Museum "Prof. Alexander Fol" in Malko Tarnovo, established on August 23, 1983 as the "Strandja Museum Complex" - the result of intensive work in the area under the "Strandja-Sakar" program.
To this day, it is the only cultural institute in the heart of Strandzha Mountain.
Since September 23, 2013, the museum bears the name of Prof. Alexander Fol.

Thematic documentary exhibition in the museum, dedicated to Prof. Dr. Alexander Fol
The exposition of the Historical Museum "Prof. Dr. Alexander Fall" in Malko Tarnovo is located in four houses - monuments of culture with typical Renaissance architecture, which at the end of the 19th century belonged to the rich merchant families Dyakovi and Ilievi. The memorial national monument Petrova Niva is also an object of the historical museum in Malko Tarnovo.
The house of Capt. Stamat Ikonomov - ideologue of the Ilinden-Preobrazhensky Uprising, opened its doors at the beginning of 2010 and houses the Ethnographic Exhibition.
Before the creation of the museum, local teachers created a school collection of archaeological materials. An exposition dedicated to the Ilinden-Preobrazhensky Uprising has been organized in the community center. The objects discovered during the "Strandja" expedition led by Prof. Alexander Fall and those from the arranged expositions provide the basis of a historical museum.
Here you will see six expositions, breaking the traditional method of exposition, characteristic of most museums, namely - following a chronological order. The arrangement is thematic - with an emphasis on the events and phenomena that are characteristic of the Strandzha region. The material and spiritual culture of the local population from the period from the 10th - 9th century BC to the present day is presented.
Attached to the historical museum is a carpet workshop, where demonstrations of weaving on an authentic loom are offered.
