Spring is here.

The weather is warmer than expected, and in the early afternoon it is even hot.

The forecast for the next few days is lots of sun and unusually high temperatures.

After another most gracious guest invitation from this beloved partner of ours, we packed up, loaded the suitcases into the car, cranked up the music, and set off on another wonderful family adventure.

Once again we travel to the impressive Grand Hotel Therme for our next stellar family holiday.

We quickly crossed the vast Thracian plain and entered the "Belovo - Yundola" pass. This year spring was early and the temperatures were much higher than usual for this time of year. This early warming had caused the trees to unfurl their new crowns, and the narrow and deeply incised valley of the Yadenitsa River, taken to be the orographic boundary between the Rila and Rhodope mountains, was pleasantly green.

Arriving at Yundola, we headed in the direction of Bansko, and not long after, the snow-covered Pirin mountains showered us with more beauty and made our hearts skip a beat. We, visibly even more excited, cranked up the music even more, shivering with anticipation.

Entering Banya - the richest village in mineral springs in Bulgaria, our family's superb mood reached its peak and in minutes we were already in front of the familiar luxurious building of the Grand Hotel Therme, which again became our home for the next 5 days.

Dear friends, I remind you again that the village of Banya, Razlozhko is located only 7 minutes (by car) northeast of Bansko, and the amazing hotel, which you already know well from my last year's publication - Grand Hotel Therme - top SPA luxury between three mountains , which I presented to you in the summer of 2023, is located on the west bank of the Konevitsa River in the most south-eastern end of the pretty and quiet village.

There were free spaces in front of the hotel and I parked.

Quickly, easily and with a smile we did our registrations at the reception and, hungry from the long journey, we immediately went to the Main Restaurant Therme of the Grand Hotel Therme.

The music makes me hum!

Well, that's how she works for me, I admit.

A soft amber light has bathed the interior, a soft jazz beat drifts gently, filling the air with serenity, and we, tired but embraced, hungry but smiling, thirsty but dancing, arrive in front of the Main Restaurant Therme of the Grand Hotel Therme.

It is far from exaggerating to say that Grand Hotel Therme's main restaurant, Main Restaurant Therme, is one of our favorite family spots here and quite possibly, along with the hotel's many spa areas, is incredibly among the most visited of all!

Smiling and full, even over-full, we slowly made our way to our spacious and sunny rooms, located on the second floor in wing number 3. After the hearty lunch, we certainly needed a proper rest.

This was followed by a short rest on the soft and so comfortable beds, combined with moments of contemplation of the snow-covered sharp heather teeth from the panoramic terrace. I was breathing deeply the cool mountain air, looking at Pirina, the sun gently caressing me and somehow I felt that it was time for a spa.

We put on the white robes and rushed to new spa horizons that only the Grand Hotel Therme can provide in such an incredible way.

Meanwhile, in the few months since our previous visit here, the Grand Hotel Therme had opened its new and ultra-modern Pulse Therme Wellness and Spa Thermal Center, spread over an incredible 6,000 square meters of space, and I, my wife, and our children were all buzzing with anticipation. let's try it all out!

Therefore, dear friends, in this post of mine I will rather remind you all about the Grand Hotel Therme spa area.

The entrance to the Grand Hotel Therme spa area is located on the lower level below the reception, and the access options, in case you are a hotel guest, are either by the elevator or by the stairs opposite it. Whichever descent method you choose, you'll reach the right place, namely these sliding glass doors.

The doors opened and I was blown away by damp heat, dim light, the familiar smell of mineral water and a pleasant bubbling symphony.

In front of me is the huge indoor Vitality pool, which is well known to you from my last year's publication Grand Hotel Therme – top spa luxury between three mountains.

Meanwhile, the place has become a point of cheerful children's laughter and genuine fun, because the indoor Vitality pool as well as the two outdoor Vitality pools are accessible to children of all ages and also to their parents.

I will definitely highlight the two deep zones in the pool, suitable for children of different ages.

Around the indoor Vitality pool there are twenty sunbeds, on which the parents accompanying the children can relax while keeping strict control over what is happening in the water.

Outside, two more Vitality pools await, with plenty of sun loungers in case you like the sun to caress your skin to make it darker and more chocolatey.

The water temperature of the indoor and the two outdoor Vitality pool mineral pools is 38 degrees Celsius and feels really perfect on the body.

Between the healing baths in the three pools, I did not fail to visit the two laconiums, where I could sip a glass of ice-cold fresh red oranges, seek solitude or simply rest.

Hotel guests can support themselves with an abundance of fresh fruit that awaits you in the areas near the laconiums. All the children were extremely happy with this fruit magic and constantly hovered around the trays of freshness.

In addition to the wonderful spa experience, guests of the Grand Hotel Therme also have a herbal sauna, a Finnish sauna, an aroma sauna, an aroma steam bath, and my favorite, a steam bath with a shock pool.

Between these amazing spa experiences as a family, we did not miss visiting the Cake & Art patisserie of the Grand Hotel Therme to support ourselves with something sweet and decorated very, very beautifully; to eat a scoop of chocolate ice cream and infuse our bodies with a wonder juice or soft drink.

In case we were still hungry after the ice cream in the pastry shop, the hosts of the Grand Hotel Therme had thought of that too.

When we got hungry between main meals, All Day Alpine Restaurant was the place where we ate impressive dishes, delicious desserts and refreshing drinks in a wonderful setting.

The Grand Hotel Therme has several Luxury House Therme where anyone can stay. The houses have two floors and are extremely spacious, including three bedrooms.

Each Luxury House Therme has its own courtyard, pool fed with mineral water and barbecue.

Banya is a village in Southwestern Bulgaria. It is located in Razlog municipality, Blagoevgrad district.

It is located in a mountainous area at 801 meters above sea level. in the center of the Razlog valley between three mountains – Pirin, Rila and Rhodopes.

The village is located very close to both the city of Bansko and the city of Razlog - only 5 (five) kilometers to each settlement.

From here passes the Septemvri - Dobrinishte railway line, which was built in the 1930s.

Banya is 52 kilometers from the regional town (about 53 minutes by car).

The climate in the area is mountainous and allows the retention of the snow cover from December to April, and the alpine nature of Pirin Mountain provides excellent conditions for professional and amateur skiing.

Banya is located on:

• 156 kilometers (about 1 hour and 51 minutes by car) from the capital
  

• 146 kilometers (about 2 hours and 30 minutes by car) from the city of Plovdiv
  

• 512 kilometers (about 6 hours and 23 minutes by car) from the city of Varna
  

• 396 kilometers (about 4 hours and 30 minutes by car) from the city of Burgas

Grand Hotel Therme is located in the eastern part of the village.

Entering the village of Banya from the north on Republic Road II-84* continue straight until you reach the roundabout marked BANYA.

Here, take the third exit (leading to the left). Continue straight until you reach the roundabout at the end of the street. Here, turn right. The signs will make your journey as easy as possible and in a minute you will be in front of the hotel.

*Republican Road II-84 is a second-class road, part of the Republican Road Network of Bulgaria, passing through the territories of Pazardzhik and Blagoevgrad districts.

Its length is 104.8 kilometers.

Absolutely the same applies if you are entering Banya from Bansko - continue straight until you reach the same roundabout, then turn right.

The distance from Grand Hotel Therme to Nikola Vaptsarov Square, located in the Old Town of Bansko, is about 7.4 kilometers (about 12 minutes by car).

For all skiers and mountain fans - the distance from Grand Hotel Therme to the parking lot of the Bansko cable car is less than 9 kilometers and can be reached by car in exactly 16 minutes.

The parking lot at Grand Hotel Therme is spacious and you will always find a parking space here.
