The village of Borovo is located in the middle part of the Rhodope, 50 km from the city of Plovdiv, 38 km south of the Bachkovo Monastery and 6 km from the town of Laki.
How to get to Borovo?
It is located in the Prespa part to the east of the Rozhen saddle in the Western Rhodope massif.
At the highest point above the village you will find the chapel of the Ascension.
It was built in 2006 on a special place for the villagers. You will easily recognize it - it is a white temple with a red roof and a bell tower.
And the view around is just magnificent!
