Rezovo - the most southeastern point of the European Union in continental Europe!
My dear friends, in this travel blog journey I invite you to a walk to the village of Rezovo with me.
This is the mouth of the Rezovska River. This is where the river flows its water into the Black Sea.
The border between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Turkey passes along the Rezovska River.
On the other coast are the most northeastern parts of the Republic of Turkey.
I parked in a nice parking lot, very close to the border, in front of which there was a bed of unique California poppies brought from Varna.
I shot them especially for you!
From the parking lot on a small street and a narrow path down to the border area.
This is the border pyramid, located at the mouth of the Rezovska River, right next to the huge pylon on which the Bulgarian flag proudly flies.
The inscription on it reads:
"Republic of Bulgaria
Municipality of Tsarevo
Village of Rezovo
The most south-eastern point of European Union in continental Europe"
Nearby is a very small and nice bay - the southernmost beach in Bulgaria!
You will go down a small path to it. A cormorant was sunbathing on the nearby rocks.
Nearby you will find tables and benches to sit on and contemplate the southeasternmost point of Bulgaria, the blue waters of the Black Sea and the golden sandy strip of Turkey.
