How do you get here?
Devetashka Cave is located near the village of Devetaki, Lovech municipality.
The town of Lovech is a very good landmark. You leave the city and head northeast in the direction of Letnitsa.
The road is wonderful!
About 15 km there is a well-marked turnoff to the right to take.
It is about 7 km away from Letnitsa.
Inside the cave there are two branches, through one of which flows a river, and the other is dry and warm.
Its arches are remarkable!
In one of the spacious halls were found some of the most interesting remains from the Neolithic period in the Bulgarian lands.
Apart from the archeological finds, the cave is also known for the diversity of its inhabitants.
Due to the breeding season of the mammals inhabiting the cave, in June and July it is completely closed to visitors.
Access to the cave is relatively easy and convenient.
There is a wide parking lot where you can leave your car.
Here is a curious fact!
In 2011, some of the larger scenes of the multimillion-dollar Hollywood production "Invincible 2" were shot in the cave, starring many of Hollywood's greatest action heroes such as Bruce Willis, Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone, Dolph Lungren, Jet Li, Jean-Claude Van Damme and the notorious Chuck Norris.
For the purposes of the photos, the team and screenwriters of the film built a real bridge over the Osam River, which they later left as a gift for tourists.
You will cross this bridge on the way to the entrance of the cave.
